The academic papers from the two-day conference are published each year in *POLITISTIKO ENDORAMA*, which in 2016 was dedicated to Syria. A country with a long history and a rich culture, which is fading away and falling into ruin, and needs to be made known. Even now—or now more than ever. The guest speaker at the opening ceremony was Marianna Koromila, a historian and director of the Panorama Cultural Association, who spoke on the topic “The Syria I Loved.”
At the same time, in the foyer of the SPC, a photography exhibition of the same name was held, featuring cartographic and illustrative material from the Archives of the Panorama Cultural Society (APAN,http://www.apan.gr).
The exhibition remained at the same venue even after the conference ended, until Sunday, January 31, 2016, with free admission for the public. On Sunday, January 24, 2016, Marianna Koromila was at the exhibition venue to lead two guided tours.
